FAQs

What is Holosomatic breath and bodywork?

Holosomatic breath and bodywork is a holistic practice that combines breathwork with body awareness techniques to facilitate emotional release, physical relaxation, and deeper self-connection. It focuses on integrating the body and mind to promote overall well-being.

How does Holosomatic breathwork differ from traditional breathing techniques?

Holosomatic breathwork emphasizes conscious, connected breathing that engages the entire body. It aims to release stored emotions and tension, fostering a deeper state of awareness and transformation compared to more conventional breathing methods.

What can I expect during a session?

During a session, you can expect guided breathwork, body awareness exercises, and supportive touch. The environment is safe and nurturing, allowing you to explore your breath and emotions at your own pace. We use headphones and eye masks to help you delve deeper and connect with yourself, allowing to block out your external environment.

Who can benefit from Holosomatic breath and bodywork?

Anyone seeking emotional release, stress relief, or personal growth can benefit. It’s particularly helpful for those dealing with anxiety, trauma, or physical tension.

Do I need prior experience with breathwork or bodywork?

No prior experience is necessary. Sessions are designed to accommodate all levels, from beginners to those with more experience.

How long is a typical session?

A typical session lasts about 90 minutes, with an introduction, breathing (for around 60 minutes) and a closing/grounding period – subject to change depending on individual needs and goals.

Are there any contraindications or precautions I should be aware of?

While generally safe, individuals with certain medical conditions (e.g., severe asthma, epilepsy, or pregnancy) should consult a healthcare professional before participating. Please look at the contraindications list on the booking page and if unsure please contact me.

What should I wear and bring to a session?

Wear comfortable, breathable clothing that allows for movement and relaxation. You will also need to bring a yoga mat, blanket (you can sometimes get a bit chilly) a small cushion and an eye mask (I will have a few spare if you don’t have one). You will also want to bring a water bottle and a notepad/pen for any journaling.

How can I prepare for my first session?

Arrive with an open mind and a willingness to explore. It’s helpful to set intentions for what you hope to achieve, but you can also come as you are.

Can I eat before my session?

You can eat, but try to avoid eating large heavy meals

How many sessions will I need to see results?

The number of sessions varies by individual. Some may notice benefits after just one session, while others might find ongoing sessions helpful for deeper transformation.

 Is breathwork safe for everyone?

While breathwork is generally safe, it may not be suitable for everyone. It’s important to discuss any health concerns with me or your GP beforehand.

What are the potential benefits of this practice?

Benefits may include reduced stress and anxiety, improved emotional regulation, enhanced body awareness, and a greater sense of inner peace and connection.

Can I combine this work with other therapies or practices?

Yes, Holosomatic breath and bodywork can complement other therapies, such as counselling, yoga, or traditional bodywork modalities. It's always best to discuss this with myself and other providers to ensure a cohesive approach.

How do I book a session?

You can book a session through the website or by contacting me directly via email.

What are your cancellation and rescheduling policies?

Cancellations/refunds cannot be made after purchase, but you can sell the ticket on to another person or may be able to transfer to another event date.
